Touching The Lives of Millions

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc., is a non-profit organization with headquarters in New York City.  Founded in 1944 by Mrs. Marty Mann, its mission is to "fight the stigma and the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions".   NCADD operates nationally and through its network of local affiliates to provide assistance to chemically dependent individuals, their families, government policy makers, the media, the medical community, educators and national health organizations.

Information & Referral Services

NCADD-San Diego provides information and referrals to appropriate resources for individuals and families who are seeking help for alcoholism and/or dependence on other drugs.  Persons who call the national headquarters 24 hour HOPE LINE (800) NCA-CALL,  will be linked to the local affiliate for contact with one of our volunteers for local assistance.
